What exactly is AP Style?
I would define Associated Press Stylebook as an essential tool to be used by everyone who has a voice that needs to be heard. Everyone is capable of displaying written work to the public, but not everyone puts their work out in a way to be understood. AP Style is such a popular aspect of writing that it attracts those who rely on it as well. I believe your work is more prone to be acknowledged if it follows AP Style. Totally have to agree with your second paragraph you definitely have to get use to using AP style but once you get the hang of it you probably won't even have to look anything up! Also, I really like how you set-up your blog I'm new to this whole thing so mine looks a little unprofessional compared to yours!
ReplyDeleteAll reporters and editors are using AP Style so I agree that we need to be using that as well! It is just as important for us to know AP Style as well as other writers. I agree that the saying "you are the company you keep" is an awesome way of explaining AP Style.
